Just had a submission accepted to a playlist. In the acceptance email, “Abby from the Playlist Agency” offers payola.

Seems they’re at it again.. just received the same email. I believe they are soliticing users via the DistroKid ‘Wheel Of Playlist’ feature as well as dailyplaylists. Here are two playlists I’ve had approvals on before the email:

I cannot confirm the creators of these playlists are connected to “Abby” or the playlist agency but the email reads identical to what other users have reported.

Yeah, I just received this email from “Abby” as well. I’m not even sure what playlist she’s claiming we’ve been added to, since we haven’t been added to any large playlists from Daily Playlists. Been seeing a lot of reviews on reddit and beyond about them being scammers and using bots, making tracks at risk for removal by Spotify.

Hey Matt, thanks for flagging this.
Please do not engage with this agency!
They are funneling users to their sketchy services through the acceptance email.
We’ve removed several playlists from this agency in the past months, but they keep creating alternative alias and uploading new playlists - which makes it very hard to police, but reports like yours are very helpful in keeping our platform clean.
Please can you send the playlist that accepted your submission and triggered this email?

I have just received a separate email from the Playlist Agency, offering “50% off” for DP members. If you have nothing to do with this agency, you should probably ask them to refrain from offering this.
