Hi DailyPlaylists team,

I have some quick questions:

  1. Gate & Spotify

  • Is it compliant to require follow/save/pre-save for submissions or placement via your gate?

  • Do these uses align with Spotify’s Terms & anti-manipulation rules? Any clear do’s/don’ts or risk if I gate my own playlist?

  1. Curator status

  • Once my playlist passes ~1,000 saves, what are the criteria and steps to apply?

  • What proof do you need, and are there ongoing requirements?

    • Gate & Spotify Compliance: Our gate system is designed to be compliant with Spotify’s guidelines. It’s fine to require a follow, save, or pre-save as part of submissions. These are organic interactions that Spotify supports, provided they aren’t incentivized in a way that artificially manipulates streams or engagement (for example, promising guaranteed playlist placement in exchange for follows). The best practice is to use gates to encourage genuine fan engagement, not to pressure or mislead users.

    • Curator Status: Once your playlist reaches around 1,000 saves, you’re eligible to apply as a Premium Curator on DailyPlaylists. The process typically involves: filling this google form Link to Apply: https://docs.google.com/forms  (Vista web)
