the gates for submitting aren't working
Hi, so the people submitting for my playlist are supposedly going through gate steps that need to do in order to submit. The amount of submissions I’ve gotten and the amount of playlist / profile follows etc don’t add up.

Hello, thanks for reaching out.
We recently updated the gates execution point - they are now executed at the moment of response, not when receiving the submission.

Does that include every kind of response or only response with feedback or is that activated after I listened to a song? how does this work exactly?

It executes after responding to the submission, it doesn’t matter if it’s acceptance or decline.

I am having this issue and have been since day 1. I haven’t gained a single follower despite having nearly 400 submissions for my one playlist. I have responded to all of them. The more I dig into this the more it seems like the gates aren’t working for anyone? You guys need to look into this.

my playlist is still at 150 despite taking 400 submissions. I even tried switching the playlist gate to follow a never playlist I am building and it never worked for that one either.

there’s no way all of my submissions were automatic. and I can’t even begin to describe how much time I have wasted for no reason.

We had some info that followers on Spotify were delayed, but the’ve been working on fixing it.
Can you tell us if the follower count has been updated since?
