You should make things a bit better with submissions

It’s very disappointing to not have a “no response” option when submitting to a playlist. First of all, the credit should be sent back because it was not really used and second is inaccurate to see these cases as declined. Also a real decline submission should ALWAYS have a reason of not approving the song, not only for feedback purposes, but also to make the curator really explain why the song did not fit the playlist (whether is not fitting the genre or just a bad song)

    Hi Lesel,

Thanks so much for your feedback — we really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Just to clarify: when a curator doesn’t respond within the set timeframe, the submission is not marked as declined. Instead, the submission simply expires, and in those cases, the credit is automatically refunded to the artist.

We totally agree that real declines should come with proper feedback. While we always encourage curators to provide a reason when they choose not to approve a song, we’re also working on improving this aspect of the process to ensure a more transparent and valuable experience for artists.

Thanks again for helping us improve!
